Hello.
About to put some new summer tyres on my D4.
I’m looking at a lot of motorway driving thru Europe in the summer so I saw the fuel economy rated ones.
Has anyone used these before and does the extra cost outweigh any savings?
Not too worried on brand names but any real world experience would be welcome.
Cheers
Joe

I would be much more concerned with braking distance, road holding & comfort than fuel economy!

You have a 3 tonne brick with a 3.0 litre diesel. Stopping distances and grip would be my main consideration rather than any brand fuel economy tyres which give marginal gains. New Defender L663 110 SE (known as Noddy!)
Sold Volvo XC90 R-Design (known as Basil)
Sold - D4 HSE (Known as Gerty)
No longer the Old Buses original owner
231,000 miles and counting
05 S manual owned from March 2005
D4 Face lifted
Still original injectors and turbo
V8 Front brakes
BAS Remap, Allisport Intercooler and deCat
EGRs blanked
T-Max split charge
Hanibal Expeedition rack
Prospeed ladder
Duratrac tyres
IID BT
BAS FBH control

Looking at these Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric SUV AT. Look good in the wet too etc.
I know nothing about tyres as black and round was my go too choice.
But with new fancy labels…………
