@Gary ... on your Amazon prime account, did you tick the "one of each, please" option ?

Just looked and Kwik fit are doing a full vacuum, AC regas for £60 and can do it from the 20th May onwards
Will book that as indeed at least then it’s done correctly
Seeing TOR reminds me of space vacuum, lol
am extremely grateful and will book it in at Kwik fit as indeed need to at least ensure any moisture isn’t left in the system
I wouldnt use Kwik fit if there was a gun pointing at my head, i have been on a number of courses with there staff and they had to give them the answers to the exams after they failed three times and they still didnt get 100%
Kwik fit use an automated machine that should refuse to refil the system as it has noj pressure in the system in the first place, the machine will also only do a short vacuum which wont be enough if the system has been open to atmosphere or empty as the dryer will be saturated with moisture and ideally should be replaced.
I would use a specialist who knows what there doing, where abouts in Kent are you? I have used Artic air services are in Sittingbourne before with very good results

Its funny. To use this gas professionally, I had to pay £300 to go on a course, take a day off work, do a 180 mile round trip and pass an assessment at the end, but just anyone can go into Halfords and around with their AC system
Not having a go at anyone BTW, but these "refill" cans should not be for sale IMO My D3 Build Thread

The substitute gas looks nasty I have seen pictures of an accident that happened when a fully trained technician used a tester to test what gas was in a system. It was an old R12 system that had been coverted to R134a and he had to prove it was R134a before working on it.
Unfortunately somebody had filled the system with Propane because they didn't have the licence to buy R134a.
I have also seen the damage the refill cans can do to a system and even damaged a compressor on my own car after using one before I was trained and had the equipment.
