Hi ...tempted by this car
A 2011 hse sdv6.

It states it is a 255bhp model - I assume being a stick shift car (not a rotary knob) it is actually 245 bhp ?
Dose it make a big difference that it is an import ? I've had a few imported golfs over the years and ended up selling for about 10% less than the equivalent UK sourced car, also they came with 2 years warranty rather than 3 years and no breakdown cover. I had no problems with insurance or servicing.
Is there anything else I should be aware of when buying a German British forces car ?

My D3 was a year old ex forces car. No probs with warranty or servicing. I bought it from duckworths or. Only problem i had to start with it wasn't recognised on the system by the new english reg but once that was sorted no probs. Think forces get it tax free have to keep it for a year then they can sell usually without loosing much dosh. Mine was low mileage an immaculate. Good luck!!
