The day temperature varied depending on how high we were. It probably ranged between the high 20's and low 30's. It was definately T shirt and shorts weather except for the late evenings, when a jumper was required. The water was 12 degrees C, as I did measure it with my multimeter, as I found it cold and some folks were swimming.
Cheers

Did you camp up high in the hills or go down to low level at night, as was chatting to someone who went last year a the tour company came down out of the hill every night, not sure if this was because it got cold up their or other reasons.

You could do it on your own, but would advise you did do it with someone else, as it can be a bit remote and if anything did go wrong, at least you have a backup.

I have been with Paul (Onelife Adventure) a couple of times (Morocco and Western Sahara), cannot speak highly enough of him. Great bloke, nothing is too much trouble.

Hi,
I'm taking my D3 to Spain in August, were going further down the coast towards Malaga via the Santander ferry but coming back through France via Andorra.
What are the rules on 'green laning' as such in the continent and does anyone recommend a certain type of map? How are the tracks shown? We won't be going too remote but to be able to get off the road a little would be good!!!
Thanks. 300TDI Toy... Now gone

Depending on which way exactly you will go i can provide you with some track points but you need to have some sort of topo map software to read gpx format and device equipped with gpd receiver to nicely find your way around while off the tarmac

Cheers. Would memory map read it? Or view ranger?
I was hoping there's an OS map equivalent I could buy and look over. 300TDI Toy... Now gone

Hey
most android soft packages such as BackcountryPro reads gpx nicely providing number of different map sources with more or less detail
plenty to choose from

I can also recommend One life adventure, Paul has a really good style to lead groups, me and my daughter did UK explore Yorkshire in Sept 2012, some photos of our D3 here: http://www.onelifeadventure.co.uk/UKExplorerYorksSep12.htm A few mods... and keeping it all running...Faultmate MSV2
