Puzzling suspension problem.

Hi all,
I have a puzzling problem with the suspension on my 07 2.7..
the original fault was a light coming on intermittently ( gallery not venting)
Hight would adjust slowly. So after searching identified a compressor fault, and decided to replace compressor rather than use the kit.
All good and original fault fixed, no warning light, height adjusted quickly.
Cleared all the stored faults and ok for a day or so.

I then noticed that the compressor was running constantly, gallery pressure never getting any more than 1650 kpa And cutting out when reaching 130 deg and coming back on at 110 deg. NO WARNING LIGHTS COMING ON.
So I searched for another leak, pulled the fuses left 36 hours 5mm drop on one corner. So I thought no leaks after the reservoir block.
Can not hear or see any leaks from reservoir, but can not see the very top.
No leaks on compressor
No leaks on reservoir block.
So this stumped me and decided to take it to garage for a full diagnostics and software update.
Nothing was found, no wiring issues, no leaks and after the faults were cleared there are no faults stored or recorded on the WHOLE SYSTEM....
Benn driving for a week or so now and occasionally the compressor stops and records a normal temperature and pressures.

So should I be looking at the reservoir?
It seems the compressor is trying to constantly fill the reservoir And can not get to the 1780 kpa required.
Is the compressor, reservoir isolated from the rest of the system by the centre block?
Could it be a faulty pressure sensor on the block?
I have an Iid tool ( non BT)
No warning lights coming on,
No faults being stored.

I even put old compressor back on to check. Original fault returned and ran constantly!
Replaced with new compressor back to running constantly no faults.

Any help or suggestions.

Have you tried soapy water on the air tank?

Valve block o ring kits on ebay under 20 quid, enough to do all blocks, think seller might be a member on here?

Yes soapy water on tank on the areas I can get to and compressor and centre block. No obvious leaks and no sound of leak.

Yeah next job is replace centre block, before fighting with the tank.

If your compressor is running constantly due to a leak it, should be a big enough that you can actually hear it!!

Raise the suspension to its off road height and wait until the compressor shuts off. Switch off the engine, open the tailgate and get down alongside the reservoir and remove the compressor cover too. You should easily be able to hear the leak if its in that area. Normally, the compressor should only run for 10 - 30s or so after first start up to replenish the reservoir. If you are using the level settings, or there is a leak, it will obviously run for much longer. If you can't hear anything there try listening at the n/s/r wheel behind which is the rear valve block, or the o/s/f wheel, in front of which is the front valve block.

Reservoir leaks usually occur on top of the tank, as this is where crud tends to rest ultimately eating into the thin metal.

No need to replace, like I said above you can get an o ring kit for the valve blocks.

Update
Already had one “ on stock”
Changed reservoir block, compressor ran for about 15 mins on and off, presumably to refill reservoir then stopped and held at 275kpa.
Raised and lowered ok, only one cycle out of the tank. Compressor kicked in and stopped.

Hopefully that sorted the problem will leave for a few days to see. And post any updates.

Thanks for the help

Take the old one to bits as it may be filled with filter desiccant - that way you have a good spare
