Puzzled - Rear Heater Controls |
|
I just wondered if anybody else had come across this in there D3?
When I bought mine a few years back, rear Air Con control was one of the things on my check list. When I looks at the vehicle it had the overhead controls in the rear so I thought no more of it, box ticked.
I was the second owner. Sometime after i'd acquired the vehicle I realised that the overhead control was there but the ventilation system in the rear B posts wasn't! On removing the control panel it wasn't wired to anything either.
It was almost as though someone had swapped it to make it look as though it had rear air con.
Knowing the history of the previous owner, it would have been highly unlikely that he would have changed it in his ownership from new.
Could it have come from the factory like this? It's one that always puzzled me.
The plus side is it's one less thing to go wrong

Hi,
It doesn't have a rear DVD player.
When we were looking around to buy i'm sure I saw other HSE's that didn't have rear aircon which was why it was on my check list.
I've just popped the overhead control again & looked at the manufacture dates on the switches & plastic which all concur with the build date.
Strange. Must have been a Friday afternoon car MY16 D4 Landmark SDV6 (The Ice Maiden)

If you put the VIN into TOPIX it should show you what the car should have had, or at least it has shown on mine, and the previous one. Must stop buying shiny toys....
