Puddle Light Bulbs

Hi, should theses:
http://www.advancedfactors.co.uk/501-filam...4249-p.asp
work in my puddle lights in the bottom of the doors as they don't seem to?

Be aware LED puddle lights in the front doors of the D4 may not work, regardless of polarity. Well they certainly didn't on my MY11 D4.

LEDs worked ok in my D4s ... both MY2011.

I paid less than £4 for a pair Smile

I tried absolutely everything I could think of and got absolutely nowhere. Rears, no issue at all with LEDs, fronts just not playing so filament ones back in. I think it's a resistance thing, the system sees no resistance so thinks it's a short & kills the voltage. Put old ones in and power is restored.

Before you give up, give it another go, but after you've fitted the LED's, close the door and open it again. Worked for me, it seems there is like a timer function on the door, you won't have enough time to remove the old and in with the new before it expires. Worked on MY12 and MY16.

Glad it's not just me!! Laughing Laughing Luckily after putting 30 LED bulbs in 3 cars I had a few filament bulbs available.

And a word to the wise out there. Fit a filament bulb in the LHS overhead map reading bulb. If the LEDs are like mine they are fantastic at killing night vision when switched on in the dark. Filament are much kinder on the eyeballs. Thumbs Up

Tried that, from closing the doors & opening, letting the car go to sleep properly to overnight. No joy.
