Prospeed Steering Lock Stops

Is anyone running Prospeed steering lock stops to prevent tyre rub? Are there any alternatives? Are they difficult to install? Just fitted 275/55r20 tyres and have slight rub against the chassis outrigger on full lock.

It was my MY11 D4 that originated these Prospeed lock stops.

I had 285/50/20 tyres on my D3 with no problem, but when I changed to the D4 and moved my wheels/tyres over, I had this exact same rubbing issue.
Upon my visit to Prospeed (I lived north of York at the time), their solution was to fabricate and then fit these specifically engineered lock stops to my D4.
They then since listed them as a D4 accessory.

If you’re not confident in fitting, then best is to get them fitted at a local garage.

On my current D4, I’m running 275/45/20 without any issues.

The only other solution (apart from changing tyre size) is to grind away the front chassis extrusions - though I certainly wouldn’t recommend that.

Many thanks for the reply. Do you know what is required from a fitting point of view?

The “drumsticks” within the rubber below each side of the steering rack are dissembled to fit the stops.
