PROPSHAFT FElL OFF
2 months ago , I had the propshaft replaced due to vibration on my D4.
Last week in fell off ! All the bolts fell out , fortunately I had just come off the motorway.
The car has been recovered to the garage that fitted it.
They do not do many Discoverys
Having replaced all the bolts , the mechanic tells me that the prop appears not to fit flush up against the flange on the transfer box and there appears to be a gap .
Is this correct , any ideas ?

Is this another propshaft? I'd imagine the first one would be quite damaged if it came off while moving.Richard

Had similar happen to me in a Hillman Hunter, back in the day. Having decided to do my 90000th mile at 90mph, propshaft fell off as I slowed down to 70 (shouldn't have slowed down?)
My bad for re-using bolts after dropping box to do clutch.
Rescued propshaft from 1st lane on motorway, got recovered and refitted it next day. (Short version of story, lucky to have dealer workshop manual in car when arguing with RAC over correct oil for gearbox).

Who supplied the original propshaft? Front or Rear? Reused the old bolts?
I’d be looking for a different garage who have more experience
