The local garage I have had cars MoTd at for years is closing due to retirement of the proprietor. He's selling up it's contents such as lifts, gas testers and welders along with all sorts of smaller tools. The lifts are 3 tonne and will take a big 4x4. I think most of the engineering equipment dates back to when the place was a coach works. Here's the link below -

I hit on last year at a local county garage auction, picked up 3 tonne long reach trolley jack, big single phase compressor and loads of hand tools that will come in handy one day - filled the disco with loads.
Best bit was that they weren't vat registered so everything was just hammer price plus commission and there wasn't that many bidders D3 V8 with active rear diff

Dangerous places auctions like this, I'm on the lookout for a lathe (harrison, boxford etc) glad its a bit far away else i would be there. Looks like a Nippy vice on the drill press I've just bought one after a long search to find one in good condition. MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten
