Simon, sorry if I seem very thick, but I still can't see where it mentions the tailgate programming.

This is the section describing how to program the key fob... and Embarassed Embarassed yes the tailgate bit is not there as its a hidden feature we discovered many many moons ago in the old days of MY05.

Sorry I think I was at cross purposes and confused by others asking about the suspension, silly me I assumed you were asking for same Embarassed

OK, to do this you need to be pressing the LR button on the key fog whilst you open the tailgate. Either by using the actual tailgate handle or whilst pressing the door unlock and lock buttons on the dash at the same time (emergency release). Can't recall which is the right way.

May of course not be a feature any more.

You will still need to push (from inside) or pull the door to open it.

Its doesn't open the latch fully... so kinda a waste of time doing TBH.

I find it more useful than the other features, when I want in the boot I dont need to unlock ALL the doors and have lights flashing and when I close the boot it then is locked and I do not need to relock the car Rolling Eyes
