PRODUCT RECALL - IMPORTANT
This morning, whilst yet again in the dealers my second home, I was told that the locking wheel nut adapter is dangerous and should be swapped with immediate effect.
This is even more interesting because out of the blue, I purchased a spare from another dealer yesterday as I knew they broke and they said nothing about it, so check your dealers and get a new one quick.
Apparently, as we have reported months ago they snap and fragments can damage you or obviously not allow you to remove a wheel.

Nick, yes they are only £2.35 anyway. Ring them and give them the code which is down the side of the adapter. The problem is that if they snap they can splinter and damage you.

This appeared on GTR very recently.
I took my car in this morning for the PDC update, and the radio/voice update. To help speed up the process, and to try to eliminate any denial of knowledge, I took printed copies of the TSB's that I got from GTR. The service reception looked at them and told me that they were not readily available documents and asked me where did I get them from?
When I told them that GTR was readily available from Land Rovers customer area on the corporate website, and for a small fee could be downloaded they were surprised.
Land Rover dealers have an on-line system which can check for warranty issues and campaigns as he called them, by typing in the chassis/reg number of the vehicle. This system came up with nothing outstanding for my vehicle. It did not mention locking wheel nuts! GTR does!
Astounding corporate technical communication don't you think

Very good point. The only difference that I could see was that the 'new' ones had what appeared to be case hardening discolouration on the inside and the original was silver all over inside and outside.

It is listed as a Service Action Bulletin, so its not a recall, but the reference is AD019UK. My subscription has expired, so I cannot read the detail.

I visited the dealer this afternoon. I don't have the exact Chassis nos, but they range from '5A324000' to around '5A339000'. Mine is in there and they're getting me a replacement. I believe it also relates to the the code on the key.
Selected keys were not properly tempered? during manufacture.Discovery 3 'S' Bonatti Grey.
