Problem with WTT software

Morning guys, I've had troubles with my FBH ever since I bought the car a year ago, I bought a Discostick controller and fitted it at the start of summer, the heater would fire but not run, last weekend I forced compressed air into the intake and since then it has started to work off the remote every now and then.

I even resorted to last week buying an old notebook on e b a y and a serial to USB converter but when I plugged the lead to the controller and a USB socket a box appeared that said something like "this port cannot be used" I tried another USB port and this box just Cascades repeatably until the program crashes..

Any ideas.?

Many Thanks

Tony

Hi,

No expert but if you look at this post ;

http://www.disco3.co.uk/wiki/Webasto_Thermo_Test_Setup

about 3/4 of the way down it describes what sounds like your problem (cascaded windows etc.) and suggest that you download a patch ( which makes a registry change which might help to stop the problem that you've described;

Might help a little.

Hi
I used the WTT with Discosticks controller and it worked very well, but I had to use the same USB port on my laptop Question

Hopefully you get it up and running, to help the FBH fire and run when the initial burn starts up a blow down the inlet helps Thumbs Up

and "life support" is even better Whistle
