OK.
Probable reason the lights flash on and off is the CJB on 08 is different from that of an 05, 06 D3. Not a software config thing.
There could well be a change in relay / or some other bit depending on if the D3 is built with or without Xenon's. Not going to change the whole CJB from my 05  ie a change somewhere in that assembly causing the cold start falsh or if you turn the lights on too fast after engine start (based on the above report and my own playing).
So, live with the flashing I guess. Only cosmetic - or is that cosmic when they flash ?
