Prestige Jaguar come up trumps again |
|
Intermittent “Suspension Fault” displayed, not something you want to see when away with the tin tent. Fortunately only a few hours away from home so rang Prestige Jaguar who said get it in to them and they will look at it - but don’t tow the van! So van left on site and car into PG next day, ready two days later with new compressor, would have been earlier had it not been for Warrant Direct taking a day to get back and authorise the repair !
Service was exceptional, if you live within the Glasgow area they are the only people to deal with, you get the personal touch and chat with the guy who does the work.

Agreed they are good but not the only ones to deal with.
Their old Land Rover mechanic has started his own place and nearer to you as well.

Interesting point, I was not aware of that (not had need to go in for a while). Have you changed allegiance?

+1 for Paul at Elite Land Rover in Dumbarton. He looked after the Disco when he was with Prestige in Paisley and I stuck with him when he set up on his own. Really good guy, knows his stuff.
For info, I had an MoT, ‘B’ service, diff oils changed, two new rear brake discs and the mod which stops the smoke coming out on hard acceleration - all for £700.
I’m not knocking Prestige Jaguar at all - they were very good when I used them and very accommodating, nice people. But I’d got a rapport with Paul so stayed with him. 2014 - D4 2010 HSE Nara Bronze
2012 - FL2 2009 GS Stornoway Grey

I passed Elite Land Rover a couple of months ago and wondered about them. Good to have positive feedback. I know its a daft way to judge someone but I was put off by their location !

He was supposed to be relocating to the centre of the town but that's fallen through, last update was he was looking to move when a new larger premises is built on the spare ground opposite where he is at present.
Its only a 5 min walk to Renton train station or as said he will drop you off at Dumbarton.
