Power Shutdown

Search hasn't revealed anything on "Power Shutdown" so:

When sat in the car with the engine off and the radio on, I've noticed that my IHU displays "Power Shutdown" and displays the same battery icon you see when you try to turn the volume up without the engine running (Low Power Mode). After a few minutes the stereo powers off. I'm guessing the IHU has detected a drop in battery voltage and turned itself off to preserve the battery.

I mentioned in another post a few days ago that it sometimes takes up to a minute or so for the stereo to switch on after starting the engine.

I'm still on my original battery (first registered March 2007) and have covered about 98k miles in that time. My D3 is my daily driver and I suppose I must do about 350-400 miles a week.

Anybody else experienced this mysterious "Power Shutdown" message and what did you do to fix it?

Check your battery voltage… but I suspect you knew that would be the advice…

My relatively cheap multimeter is indicating:

12.41 v at rest, rising to...
14.36 v 30 seconds after starting the engine

What does this tell us?

DISCO3 infotainment power shutdown

Hello.
I Know the thread is almost 5 years old, but I did't found a fix on forum.

I own an 3 SX 2007 with standard Harman Kardon Radio 6Cd system.

Recently, After reading "Power Shutdown + Battery simbol" Message on radio display, I am getting no sound from the audio, the display of the infotainment system totally black, and all the system seems power down.

It appear after few seconds or after 2h running, and after a random period the sound simply came back without action by my side. This behavoir and the battery changed last year, make me doubt about origin of fault.

could someone offer some advice?
Exist an error infotainment code list?

Many thanks!!
