Hi buddy !
I’ve had alloys with really bad putting and surface flaking in the past and had then re powder coated without problems. I have heard an issue with wheels on Landrover’s where the inner rim has worn away for some reason causing sealing issues. I don’t know the full story of it just something pegging a memory but may be worth looking into. Jarrod

Hi mate
Bless u, is indeed the inside of the rim that was leaking , will take some pics in the week to see what u think of the pitting
Plus was a right result because the tyre company only charged me £10 to swap the rims and remove the spare tyre for me
Still looking at some air Dual action mini sanders, suprising as I can’t find one that’s variable speed via the trigger , some just have a 4 x speed dial
Thks again

Hi mate,
I’ve got a few air sanders, I think all of them are controllable via the trigger iirc. I’ll have a look later. Jarrod

Hi buddy
Bless u for that and most appreciated
Just think it would be nice have variable speed instead of flat out @ 15,000 revs and watching it skip across the room
Thks again

No problems buddy.
You can buy air inlet controllers that are adjustable rather than stepped. I think I’ve got some somewhere. Jarrod

Curtis in Borough Green is very good does our small stuff but his ovens not big enough for a chassis, he does a lot of wheels and has a tyre machine.
We run diso1s on an off-road site, never go back on the road, often have to remove tyres to clean the rims, never had a porous rims, just remove the tyre,q useing a small grinder and cup wire brush clean the rim around the bead seal, tin of eatching primer spray the inner rim to help further corrosion prevention all done

Hi
Revisiting this ref the wheel as the paint is also peeling and also will be removing my front and rear bumper so thought of this sand blaster , can then hopefully clean my wheel and the metal reinforcement bars behind the plastic bumpers i
Will then treat the front and rear bars with Dinitrol
Just thought it may be kinder on the face of the wheel instead of using sanders etc

Cheers as I can see pct also recommended them
Wondering if it will be easier to just drop the wheel, front and rear bar off to him to save me all the hassle
Will give him a shout for a quote to get it all done , thks again
