If the ammonia smell gets too much much the same result can come from one dishwasher tablet and water in the same black bin liner but I am minded to try your ammonia method

Is that the rectangular portable one? I had one but its lost in an old shed I no longer have. It was great!. Legs took it off the ground and folded over the lid to keep it shut during transport. Only thing was it could get so hot that it would first dry then start to scorch the grass under it. Eventually put a wood board with aluminium plate riveted on top to curtail the fire risk. Love Weber!

Webber do, or used to do, a rectangular kettle BBQ which has legs that fold over the top to hold it together. I think they are slightly larger than the one you are thinking of. Maybe I can be bothered to find a picture somewhere.

Yep, I think the jumbo joe is bigger but the go anywhere is larger than a son of hibachi
At present I'm tending towards the jumbo joe as it's just on the border of what's portable versus how small you can go and still comfortably cook a chicken/feed 4
If not the jumbo joe then a go anywhere looks favourite - son of hibachi looks to be more portable but maybe more of a tent/camping setup than a tin tent/family camping setup.MY15 DIY Black Pack (Better than factory and half the price!)

The Go-Anywhere gives you the space to keep your charcoal and tools. They all fit in the box.

It does look good but the jumbo joe also has enough room for charcoal and tools plus the lid locks when carrying. For a family of four I think the larger cooking area would be a big bonus.
going to try and see both of them to compare and decideMY15 DIY Black Pack (Better than factory and half the price!)
