Popping sound from front end when backing up on slope?

I know this problem or similar type problem has been brought up before
but this might be a little different.

When backing up out of parking space while on about a 5 or so degree slope I back up and turn the wheel only 5 or so degrees to the right not any were near full lock and theres a popping sound, pa pa pop pop pop. Does not do it all the time. I am going in for a service call for an oil change soon and wondered what I should tell the dealership. Any help or suggestions whould be greatly appreciated. 2002 Vienna Green Disco II = Hers

I've had random clunking not popping sounds when reversing. Not repeatable though so put it down to character Wink

When I swung round in the car park at work today prior to reversing into my space, I heard/felt a popping sound as though I was running over some twigs (full lock). Same thing? When I got out I checked for twigs, nothing! Back in the game!
