Poor Starting

I'm sure I've read this somewhere.

First thing in the morning (not that cold +5 degree C) takes a while to fire up, swings over 5 -8 seconds before firing (seems like ages) then followed by cloud of black smoke.

Also doesn't seem to be a swift as before (don't think its just getting used to the new pace of the D3) more lag of roundabouts etc.

Any comments? TDV6 07 spec 5k miles Sad

Sounds like a battery issue Wink If you are doing regular short runs then go for a nice long Sunday drive Smile

Definitely not right, don't think it's a battery issue -are you waiting for the glow plug indicator to go out?
there's several things that can make it a bit sluggish, EGR valve, air mass sensor, fuel temp sensor - none of which are severe enough for a fault to be shown on the dash but will be logged as a DTC, sounds like a trip to the dealers.... Sad

Many thanks 10, once again I'm in your debt.

Yes glow light out.

I think a trip to the dealer is in order. I'll report back if any thing comes to light.

Mine did this when I took it to the snow. sarting at about 5 deg, it would not start straight away, had to turn it over a few times. Also performance change. Turned out to be a corrupted software file.
