Had the upgrade done on Monday. It appears that they have upgraded to the 2013my spec. All working fine now, I seem to have acquired one more tab on the left of the home screen, before there was only 4 two selectable shortcuts, extras and off tab. I now have 3 selectable shortcuts, extras and off tab. It is also a bit quicker to respond to inputs.

DeeJay,
Is your software the same as the YouTube vids of DG's new one in this same In Car Electronics bit?
My VIN is in the range but waiting to get it done.
Cheers,
Grant

If it is 2013 software.. aside from the faster response these are the other changes in software ability you should see on the nav side
Quote:The Points Of Interest (POI) function has been extended to include a 'My POI' category and POIs can now be uploaded from USB stick in 'GPX' format. POIs can also be downloaded from the Internet and personalised with name, icon and audible warnings.
A new function, Avoid Points, can be accessed from Stored Locations and used during route planning. The interface has been streamlined with more shortcuts to make setting of the destination easier and faster. For example, a 'GO' button replaces a list when there's only one destination available and also eases the setting of everyday Points of Interest.
In the navigation display, motorway overhead signs are displayed in split screen junction view to show a more representative display of lane and road signs ahead. There's also a new Map Auto Zoom function which, when enabled, automatically zooms in on intersections or motorway junctions as they are approached. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Grant i don't think it is the same as DG describes I thought it was at first but I can't see the auto zoom function so I guess it's not. Let me know if it appears on your update when done

I would be surprised if they did upgrade it to MY2013 software but at least you say there is an increase in speed which has to be good. Mine falls within the chassis number range so will have to arrange to get it in when the snow goes Cheers Ian

Quite right Dan we all know LR do not like to change vehicle spec from on model year to the next. This update seems to only cover the lack of map shown POI's with the addition of one extra button on the home screen, this in itself was probably part of the problem
