Pneumatic suspension: how it works?

Pneumatic suspension: how it works?

Hi, waiting January for my new Disco 3 I’m keep thinking and thinking…

How the pneumatic suspensions are working?!? I mean, I know that they are working related to the terrain control but to my dealer I saw that it’s possible raise o lower the car manually with a dedicate driving into the control panel (near the terrain control switch).

Is this manual adjustment working just when the car is stopped or the car will keep my configuration when I’m running too?!?

Is it possible, for example, lower the car to go inside a close parking slot?!? Or raise the car at maximum higher and run on a regular road (terrain response setted to “regular road”) with this configuration?

So, while you are running, the pneumatic suspensions are completely controlled by the terrain response or manually too?!?

You can only drive at 'normal' height on the road (at any speed). However you can select 'access' (low) or 'off road' (high) heights manually at any time you wish using a toggle lever but can only operate the vehicle up to a certain speed of about 10mph (somebody will be able to give you an accurate figure).

Terrain response sets it all up for you if you're going into an off road environment. But then still you can change it if you wish.

But yes, you can lower it and raise it whenever you please Thumbs Up
