The (in)"famous" PIN 8....
Thank you. Need to check the pins.

Looking at Pin 10. Without adding relays there must be a way to get power to the bulb, Presumibly Pin 10 needs tapping into another pin, guessing low beam as then powering the bulb and motor?

On MY2014-ON the Pin 10 move only the pattern shield but not switch ON the bulb (halogen or HID, depending what type of headlight you have.
Bulb is powered by PIN 11.
May be a big diode (+/- 100W) from 10 to 11?
- 12V on pin 10 AND then pin 11
- 12V on pin 11 ONLY (0V on pin 11)
Mhmmm better a Relay that put 12V on pin 11 when pin 10 is powered.....Discovery 5 tdv6 HSE Corris Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition

Exactly, so surely that tapped with low beam will turn the bulb in when it changes the sheld angle?

Here my scheme (with one relay for each headlight) for enabling the flash (PASS) function with the headlight switched OFF
(assuming that the shutter is always working)
In that case the scheme is showing the circuit for the LH headlight (connector C0009). It's necessary to replicate it for the RH headlight (connector C0011)

DRLs sorted. My only concern is with the high beam.
When you set the relay up its all good for flashinf with headlights off.
When you turn Your headlights on the relay will be taking 12v backwards? Also if yoy use high beam When headlights are on your putting 12v twice into the same cable if that makes sense. Are relays one way?

With the headlights on AND you switch ON the highbeam (only in this case) you are putting the 12V from C0009-11 on C0009-10 still at 12V, so same potential, no problem (I hope ) following you words, putting 12v twice into the same cable and the result is again 12VDiscovery 5 tdv6 HSE Corris Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition

I've uploaded a picture to my pics all I can see with out taking the light out
rom what I saw in your photo, they should have used a 1N1618 SI-D 200V 1.5A diode
a little less than 20W max..... It's seems a little undersized, but IMHO.....
I would have used a 1N1576 SI-D 200V 3.5A diodeDiscovery 5 tdv6 HSE Corris Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition

Once it was confirmed the DRLs ran on 12v (some canbus will have a main power that's activated by lower voltage feeds) and getting the pin diagram I already have an ignotion switching relay which runs my other DRLs. I tapped into this and then connected it to thr back of the block. I will try to put a drawing together for people to work with. I'll also do one for the high beam once I make sure its running right. Inbox me a message so I can send you it once its drawn up! Also saves needing the CCF written and does the exact same job!

Thank you, PM sent.
but then, do you have the pin 8 and its wire on the car harness?
My car (MY2011) hasn't the PIN8 wire.... (but I want to keep my MY2011 headlamp as I don't want to lose the "additional" highbeam source ...)Discovery 5 tdv6 HSE Corris Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition

Yes, mine had the wiring on the harness which isn't activated so i just took the fees and used it. If you havent got pin 8 you can buy them with a section of wire so the seal will work and just connect it up. Or buy the bits and hope its water tight!
