for me....NO PLASTI, look like you've lost your hubcaps, I think only the 19" D3 HSE wheels look good in black ... the most modern rims, for my, look better with color series...
so in this case, and only in this, SWMBO is right!!
lost in translation!

Had mine powder coated gunmetal. Just waiting for the Duratrac's to arrive.
I suppose if you plastidip you can always take it off if you don't like it. Maybe do one wheel and compare.
Cheers

I think plasti dip is fine on wheels. I did it on my wheels on my C63 and lasted 20k of hard fast miles.
Its all about how many layers you put on, the more the better.
Ive also did my S5 with it, again lasted 10k miles no problem & removed easily and clean.
I'll be doing the D4 when I get time.Filming something somewhere...

I like the idea of plastidip over powder coating as like some have said, I can remove it easily enough when I get sick of the black.
Good suggestion, Andy, I think I'll buy one can to begin with and do one wheel, if it's too much effort or looks then I won't bother with the rest.
Cheers guys.Cheers Scott.

On the subject of damage to the plasti-dip coating on wheels, that is precisely why I did mine.....it's on my off-road wheels, and scrapes and tears to the coating are easily fixed, cheaply and quickly....whereas any damage to a more permanent and expensive coating,is,well, permanent and expensive "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...
