Hmm - never thought about doing the scuttle...... might need to order a few more cans (wish my original one had arrived before the weekend, but never mind)
So today I got around to Plastidipping the door handles, quite pleased with the results so will have to see how it wears over the coming weeks/months/years (hopefully) 3 photos below but I also did a time lapse with my SLR so will upload that when I get a minute to process it.

I thought it would be necessary to remove from the vehicle to effectively spray the inner part (where your fingers touch). Did you find it easy to do while still on the vehicle?Dennis

I managed to spray enough from the top and bottom to cover it, the very back part is black anyway so just wanted to cover the grey. There is a slight lip at the top at the back so am just hoping that there is enough grip for the plastidip and it doesn't start peeling from there. I don't know how easy the handles are to remove but hoping it's done a good enough job as is.

Day 1: grabbed door handle this morning and it's started to come off already so plastidip handles is not going to work unless they are easy to remove and can be sprayed all round and sealed!
Now time to peel it all off and look for an alternative solution, anyone know of any black handle covers for an HSE that look good?

Thought that would happen to be honest.
When I plastidipped my wheels I left them on the car.. and despite my best efforts to spray from the bottom upwards (to get to those faces which where facing downwards, the result was still not good... I ended up having to move the car half a wheel turn so I could spray them properly from above.Dennis

@crost I only have this pic, it looks good but because the rest of my trim is faded it's not looking too great as the blacks differ. I have been looking at getting it all colour coded. Even making the bottom bit of bumper black (like the d4 front bumper). Will stick a pic up of it on car when the rain eventually leaves
The main part of the handle is a 2 part piece, the skin removes very easily and I have lots of wrap left from my side steps so have covered them, wrapping it over the back so it can't peel, the smaller piece is a bit more difficult as it's quite square and fiddley, but am pretty happy with the result, have ordered new pieces for the front drivers and rear doors as the clips are apparently prone to breakage
Wrapping is fairly easy, and very forgiving, get a heat gun/hairdryer (don't tell SWMBO) and you can just keep peeling it back and re stretching until you are happy with it!
