plastic transmission drain plug
Hi there can anyone tell me when tightening your plastic transmission drain plug do you stop tightening when it clicks ive just broken mine

Yes, stop when it starts to click. It doesn't tighten up much.
Good luck. You may be about to convert to a new metal pan with filter!

the inner part of it just fell apart.Managed to undo it and get it all out just hope it hasnt threded plastic sump.

Don't suppose you have a part number do you?
I'd like to get a spare incase it happens to me when I change mine next.

Hiya
For a D3 , ZF 6 x speed , The drain plug part number for the auto gearbox is TYB500020
Filler / level plug , part number LR007610
Also some torque settings
transmission fluid drain plug 9 Nm (7 lb.ft).
filler/level plug and tighten to 35 Nm (26 lb.ft).
Also for a D4 , there’s a 8 x speed kit
