Pirelli Ice & Snow

My last two D3's have come out of the factory with Pirelli Scorpions fitted. Does anyone know if you can specify a different tyre from the factory?
My car with spend it's first 5 months on snow so I thought that I might just be able to manage with the rear locker and these without getting out and fitting chains in the cold!!

BTW - The dealer isn't sure and she thinks everyone at the factory is on holiday! Laughing
