PIAA Bulbs

Has anyone ever used any of the PIAA range of bulbs before, in the D3 or other vehicles and what was your oppinion of them against the other mainstream manufacturers.

I have looked at these over a few years now, but was uncertain as to what their output would be like, as they are not exactly the cheapest bulb on the market.

Select bulbs from the LHS and select LR in application guide.

I have substituted the H7 auxiliary main beams by philips bluevision bulbs and I am very happy with it.. whiter light, better matching the zenons (still yellowish though)

I've used PIAA bulbs in the past on HSV saloons. Well worth the money on a performance car.

I've used various Phillips bulbs over the years as well, on other cars. Always the latest top of the range bulbs & these are very good too.

Ultimately, the PIAA are superior to all the alternatives that I've personally tried or experienced on friends cars.

I wanted the best possible bulbs, as my HSV was very fast & it really helps for fast night time driving to be able to see well!

If price is not an issue get a set of PIAA bulbs. If it is, a £30 set of Phillips X-treme (or whatever they're called) will still be a great improvement.

Yes I use them in my roof lights. cant remember the model no but they consume 55W of power and deliver 110W of light. priced at about £40 a pair

good bulbs, only replaced 1 in 2 years
