Phonebook for Nokia workaround
Today I stumbled upon a half reasonable work around for Nokia (and possibly others) phones that are only partially supported by the D4 bluetooth.
I have a Nokia N8 and the phone pairs up fine with the D4 but there is no phone book support or log.
I found that if you send business cards from your phone contacts to your car (via bluetooth) they end up on the touch screen phonebook! (that suddenly springs to life with the first card)
So far I have only put my most used numbers on, and I imagine that like voice contacts they will be lost with software updates, but, I'm pretty chuffed with the result

I had the same problem with the N8 and found the same workaround, last week I got a message saying a new firmware was available, updated the phone to the new firmware (Symbian Anna) and suddenly I have full phone book sync.
Each name comes up with /M for mobile, /W for work etc plus the whole phone seems faster and more stable

Symbian Anna (or Belle) is not being offered here in Australia as yet, and was searching the net for a way to install it that I stumbled upon that work around.
The phone could certainly do with being faster, so I look forward to finding a way of getting the new operating system.
And really look forward to full functionality with the D4! Thanks for that info!
