phone very quiet and heater is pants!

Hi All
Just to say hello and ask for some help, great forum as well by the way I’m astounded at the technical intelligence on here after just a couple of hours searching!

Anyhow I have just bought a 2009 Discovery 4 GS 3.0 TDV6. So far it’s been fantastic and makes towing the caravan much more enjoyable! Although there are a couple of niggles.
1} The Bluetooth connects the phone ok but the incoming call volume is terribly low and barely able to hear, turning the volume up on the rotary dial on the stereo makes no difference either! I’m using an iPhone 7 but not sure if there is a fault or a setting I can change?

2} the heater is pants and barely seems to blow much at all. Even on Hi it doesnt seem to blow much, at least not compared to every other car I have owned which on high are more like a jet taking off! Is this normal on these cars?

Thanks for any help
Andy

Try turning volume up on your phone when on a call.

Or go to systems settings and adjust your audio settings

The heater on mine is brilliant.

Is the issue with the air temp, or the volume of air being blown?

You may have an issue with the fan, or somewhere in the heating system itself.

And welcome!

Thanks for the responses, think the phone is sorted by turning it up on the phone as suggested! Seems much better although only tried it on rhe drive with voicemail so will test it properly tomorrow.

As for the heater it just seems I have to have it on a high temp to be warm! It could just be due to the changing weather though I guess. I had a play with it today and the font blower seems to be working right and all the leds round the rotary fan speed thing light up, will wait for the cold to really set in and give it a proper test!

One other question o the heater... is it possible to have the dual climate operate in Mono mode so that the passenger side always matches the drivers? Otherwise I have to keep adjusting both sides independently! First world problems I know! But would be good if it could do a mono but I’m not sure what button I would need to press or hold.
Thanks
Andy

Passenger side will always stay two degrees of the drivers side whatever the setting, drivers side rules the roost so to speak.

Sorry my mistake, it’s four degrees.

Note: The system will not achieve a temperature differential from left to right of more than 4°C (7°F).
