I have a K&N on my TDV6, and to be honest they don't have any noticable gain. I would think that might be the case for the Petrol V8.

Personally I am going back to OEM LR Parts filter on next service, but many on here have used K&N, and ITG filters.

Hi vnitos,
See you are in South Africa. If you go into Bots or Namib and you fit K&N I think you must be extra vigilant with service/oiling of the filter or your in danger of ingesting too much "Bull Dust" into the engine. I found that for these areas you can't beat OE. For cities in SA, no problem with K&N and you do get slight improvement - I did with my Disco 1 and 2.8L diesel.
Have Fun

The only good thing in my experience is that it is re-useable

Filtration isnt as good
If you over-oil it when cleaning, you are prone to killing MAF (Aif Flow) sensors
No noticable gain in power (or noise with just a panel filter, if you like that kind of thing)
