...a lorry with 3 FL2s on it. It's to be hoped that the Freelanders will be driven better than the lorry was.
This was my first look in the flesh at an FL2 and I was left a bit disappointed. From the front, I was struggling to work out what they were (they looked like any old generic japanese/korean softroader), and when I saw the badges at the back and realised what they were I was left somewhat underwhelmed. Does the inside make up for it?
Maybe I'll find out when my D3 is in for its service on Friday

I sort of agree BCB......I'm really gonna get my b*lls stamped on here...but I think the best looking soft roader at present is the Hyundai Santa Fe
(which funnily enough ...is any old generic japanese/korean softroader) 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
Hyundai is onomatopaeic...ie its the sound of someone throwing up...I should know...my father has one (and surprisingly great service he gets too!)2007 HSE Java Black.....sold

I'm a big fan of that particular Hyundai. I think the Santa Fe is incredibly good looking on the outside ,

..but they insist on having that fake wood trim all over the place inside..
shame.

They would have had a job getting a lorry with 3 FL2's on them in the Peel Centre! Its got 2.1m barriers on the entrances - in fact at the Toys R Us end, it looks like some kids have been swinging on the bar and bent it down - I did not risk going under it on Monday night!Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)
Ok, for the pedants out there, spotted on the road outside the peel centre, making an absolute pigs breakfast of the left turn under the Asda bridge thing.

He was probably trying to get to Guy Salmon, must have missed his turn off the motorway roundabout.
I saw a FL2 on the road in Liverpool today. Its OK, but it has not rocked the world of car design like the D3 did when it first broke cover.

I'm with you on that one - another ugly far-eastern soft roader Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)
