My electric window front passenger side has just stopped working, I’ve changed the switch for a new one, checked the fuses and when I unplug the connector on the motor there’s power to it. I plug the connector back in and window cycles down then goes up Winthrop switch then stops working again.
Does anyone have any ideas before the hot weather arrives 😃

You changed the switch, is the power getting to the switch and when you operate the switch it is getting to the motor. The switch is double action - up should move glass up, down should move glass down.
Do all other windows work (drivers door switch not in locked position)

Yeah all other switches work except the one on the drivers door for controlling the passenger window and the one on the passenger door. Power at both switches also

The passenger door switch is different to the other switches, they supply ground to make the window motor work so you should check the ground connections on the switches make sure there is continuity from switch to motor

Each door has its own module to control the functions (locks, windows etc) so this could be at fault. IID, webasto software and workshop facility's available.

I had this problem couple of years ago brother traced it back to a wire can’t remember if it was in the door or the pillar
It’s where all the wires go through for all the door switches seems there is a wire that is to short in the loom and over time breaks giving you intermittent window operation easy fix just a to get to
If you want to PM me will try and point you in the right direction

In the door pillar there is a connecting block as I said before it’s a 🤬 to get to and get apart but would not be surprised if that’s where your trouble lies multimeter should tell if all’s ok

Ok, checked all wiring again, all has continuity, and voltage at motor, I think the polarity isn’t switching to allow the window to lower, I’ve banged fuse box and occasionally can get the window to lower so it leads me to the window relay built into the fuse box.
Anyone know a short cut for repairing it
