Passenger seat, extra electrics????? |
|
Does anyone know if you can fit LHD electric seat equipment to the passenger seat of a UK car?
I have a HSE and another one on order. My wife is quite short and hates sitting in the passenger seat as it has limited movement compared with the drivers seat. When you move the seat higher on the passenger side it just tips you forward. I was wondering if I got the seat mechanism for a LHD HSE drivers seat and fitted it to my passenger seat, would it work?
Any thoughts and suggestions would be gratefully received!

Sounds perfectly sensible to me, which probably means you can't do it, as have you ever known LR take the sensible route to anything.

I'll give it a try with the dealer and see what they say.
I don't think it's a DIY job as it could go wrong and be dangerous for the occupant.

Unless you've got a really good dealer, I wouldnt ask them, as if its not standard fit, by the book, most are fairly clueless.

I'd keep them both for a couple of days just to test the extra grin-effect....
Might end up with very sore jaws, though! JL Martin
