Passenger ocuupancy sensor not activating

Hi everyone,
I'm having some problems with my passenger occupancy sensor. When seat belt bong is active and someone sits in the passenger seat without the seat belt fastened the bong starts and seat belt warning comes on the instrument panel intermittently.
But, if seat belt bong is deactivated when passenger does not have seat belt on I get no seat belt warnings on, nothing. I do get a constant warning on in a similar situation for the driver's seat.
Would anyone have any suggestions on what I could check (connectors etc) before I visit the dealer? Could this also affect the seat belt pretensioner or passenger air bag (no air bag warning on dash when this happens)?
Thanks!

Come on people, I would really appreciate some feedback on this, before I visit my dealer. I'm sure someone knowledgeable can contribute something helpful... Bow down
