PASSENGER'S FRONTAL STAGE 2 - DEPLOYMENT CONTROL -:B0011
GENERAL ELECTRICAL FAILURE - CIRCUIT RESISTANCE ABOVE THRESHOLD. (PERMANENT)
Any ideas why it would suddenly do this - last night fine - drove no where - started up this morning and air bag light stays on

Talk about timing i just bought a warranty from Warranty Direct - started on Saturday

Have you got any leaks down the passenger side door pilar or the sun roof drains if you have one fitted, could be that damp has got in on the sensor.
Have you tried to disable the airbag and then re enable it to see if that works...
other than that you need a to view the ecu with a box of tricks... Wiggs is the guru on the elctrics side of things

Car has been in garage for 2 days dry as a bone
tried the on off trick
and faultmate gave me code and info - reset several times and it just keeps coming back
anyone else had this?

check all the plugs under the drivers seat if you move the seat it can work loose the plugs other then that poss clock spring

Thanks Geoff will check plugs at drivers seat - my little boy was moving seat back and forth and his little hands could have played with something

Undo the connector and remove it make sure none of the cables are getting hooked on something and can move feely while seat is moving and tha reconnect making sure all connectors are ok
Had the light coming on few times in the middle of germany in the middle of the night caused by one of the cables being over streache by moving seat

i would check connector on the air bag ECU
had one sport in which connector got loose giving same fault like yours with no reason like yours
i know that ecu is hidden enough but i think there is enough space to check connectors through rear cup holder or ash tray

I have the same problem Ian.
Not sure if any boxes are moved around seeing as mine is a LHD, but its the same seat you're having problems with. If I raise the seat to my no.1 setting then I get the fault. If I take the wifes setting no.3, (shorter legs) and lower the seat, the fault goes away (have to turn ignition off and on).
Been told its best to take the seat out to check connections.

Mine is LHD also
only seat moved is the drivers
are the cables for passenger airbag under drivers seat also?

Can see this getting confusing. 
If yours is LHD (like mine) are the fault codes programmed for a LHD car? If they are for the RHD then the "passenger" seat is your "drivers" seat..... Faultmate MSV2 MultiVehicle

its factory LHD - so i am assuming LR got the codes right
