Parking Sensors - How wierd is this?

I'm getting (or rather have had since I got the car) a peculiar issue on my D4, both the reverse and forward sensors don't work at all. By this I mean when I select Reverse, though I get the initial beep, that's all I get. No audible feedback - nothing. Aside from, the revers camera shows up on the screen.

Now I did check live values, and they do not change when you stand in front of the sensors (both front and rear bumper), and the only other interesting thing to note is that one of the faults was from if I recall correctly, the ACM - Audio System - U0159-00 - Lost communication with parking assist control module. Now at this point I'm looking at the wiring diagram for the Disco 4 under the Parking Aid section (http://bee.mif.pg.gda.pl/ciasteczkowypotwo...202011.pdf) but I cannot see any reference to the Audio system? although it would kind of make sense, since I am not getting the beeps.

Any help, guidance would be appreciated - it's hard to park this thing without the sensors.

Next step would be to get the bumpers off to inspect the wiring maybe?

On a side note, the DAB is not working - wondering could that be related? On the driver's side, at the rear of the car inside, I took off the plastic panel to the left of the 3rd row seat, and found 3 suspicious connectors and a black cable, that looked like they used to plug into something - wonder if that was the DAB module and it has been removed maybe?

anyone got any ideas on this, before I start removing the bumpers..

I recall watching a video on a guy that did something to the Parking Aid Module on a RRS. Anyone had any experience with testing the module?

Any other advice or guidance greatly received. Thumbs Up

thanks

Not 100% sure but I think the parking aid module should be sitting about where those disconnected leads are. That would explain lack of response from any of the sensors, a dodgy loom would more likely affect one end or the other.

A quick eBay search shows there are some parking modules for sale, worth taking a look at the photos to see if the connectors match those you have dangling loose?

Hope this helps

So an update on this thread

I swapped out the parking aid module (3 connectors) from a car from the same year. The codes on the module are almost identical.

I cleared the faults, but alas no luck.
