Welcome to the madhouse!! Timed FBH was one of LR's better ideas but never actually worked from day 1. Others should be along with answers/experience on other questions. Thumbs Up

Terrain Resp switch may need worked a bit or need a new switch set, get a few posts in and then PM The Large One, aka Nick, aka Parts Guru/God from Yeovil LR re prices etc. Not too difficult to swap out.

Easy to take off the part, remove the H trim, remove gear knob, couple of screws for the transmission tunnel and the part with the switches lifts out. Find the LR fitting instructions for the cubbyhole cooler, that shows you how to do it. Thumbs Up

Welcome domlandy1. Thumbs Up

The FBH timer was like DSL says an LR's idea that they never got to work. Most people fit an oval timer which is available on Ebay and works well!
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/WEBASTO-FBH-TIMER-KI...5d2d6ede12

GSM modules are the next mod for turning it on and off with an sms....

The earlier D3's have a red wire coming out of the FBH which you can connect the timer to:

I have a croc clip on where the blue (my wire to the timer) meets the red(LR's red wire) to access the FBH's diagnostics....

Loads of info here on the forum.
