Parking sensors - complete failure?
Hi all - my parking sensors both front and rear have stopped working. I still get the bong when I put into reverse, and the light comes on on the switch when I am at low speed, so everything looks normal. No fault being read with IID. There is no clicking from any sensor when I listen (which I have had to do because no fault is showing). Any ideas?
Thanks for your help.

All my sensors stopped working when one wire in the front bumper loom was worn through (bad routing squashed it between the metal bumper and the cover). Have you checked the wiring?
I was getting a "front parking sensors not working" error on the dash and a fault code for the front right sensor. So I'm surprised there are no codes showing.
Repairing the wire has brought all sensors back on-line for me 2004 Discovery 3 HSE Auto

Same for me, they have always been iffy in the wet (the rears), but now they are total failure in the dry too.
I dont have any diags, but its it worth doing a visual inspection on the rear loom? Is it usually a visible thing or should I get some diags done and get a few sensors to fit JIC?Disco 3: Lotus Elise S1: Ferguson T20: Audi A2

I would visually inspect the loom. Although in my case I could find out from reading the codes which sensor was at fault the actual problem was worn wires.

Checked with IID again - absolutely no faults showing with the parking sensors. I will have a look at the wiring this weekend. Is access easy or is it front bumper off?

Bumper of unfortunately but it's a straightforward job. Make sure you know where all the fixings are if you haven't done it before. There are walk through videos on YouTube that are handy.2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

Is it a long bong when you put it in reverse? suggesting a fault.
I had this in Jan, a rat had chewed through the rear loom, right where it goes into the plug in the N/S R bumper, if you lay down under there you'll see the lug and a little wiring.
I had to fit a new loom, easy enough but there are some hidden screws under the lower boot door cover...
The loom is set into a large foam block in the bumper so you cant see the whole thing unless the bumper is removed.Disco4 MY16 SDV6 Landmark Black
