I wonder if anyone can help. Our discovery has started to continuosly bleep even when we are not close to an object whether in reverse or going forward. It is only just over a year old. I have tried turning the sensors on and off by the switch on the dash but it doesnt help. Does anyone have any suggestions or is is a trip to the dealer under warranty. Any help would be appreciated, regards, Chris.

Hi Wiggs i think it comes from around the dash area. It seems to do it whether inreverse or going foward.
I was thinking of taking off the front bumper and having a look as a couple of weeks ago i had the front fog light problem with chafed wires and also noticed he wires to one of the sensors were stripped of their covering so i taped these up as well. Do you think this might be the cause or would that only affect the front sensors. Im also worried that my taping the wires up might cause any warranty issues. Any advice would really help, thanks Chris.

I have just had the same issue fixed by the dealer. It was caused by a chafed wiring loom behind the front bumper. Also, one of the sensors was not 100%.
Mine is out of warranty, so cost me a few quid, but you are in warranty, so take it in

thanks gareth, do you think it is worth me taking the bumper off and having a look myself or could this void my warrranty as i have removed the bumper on my last discovery and it only takes around 30 mins. I was going to call the local dealer this morning and have a word, regards, chris

"The front sounder will emit an error tone for 3 seconds at a frequency of 1500Hz if a fault is detected with the front sensors or the rear sounder develops a fault."
Looks like the front bumper off for a check of the wires ...or get the dealer to do it G4 Gone ...but not forgotten
