Hi everyone. Parking sensors playing up, with the loud squeal on selecting reverse.
Codes read as follows:
B1B44 right rear outer sensor.
UO155 Lost communication with instrument cluster control module
UO140 Lost communication with body control module
U0300 Internal control module software incompatibility
No. 1 is pretty self explanatory, but what about the rest?
All advice gratefully received 2008 D3 HSE Stornoway Grey with Ebony Leather, towing a Coachman VIP 575

I managed to get the sensor off, and replace it with one from ebay, but I still get the continuous noise of a fault and my IID tool gives the same problem, offside rear sensor.
How can I tell if its the wiring or a duff new sensor? 2008 D3 HSE Stornoway Grey with Ebony Leather, towing a Coachman VIP 575

you could read the live readings from the 4 sensors
they should give a reading between 0.5m and 2.5m (see if any different between the 2 sensors)
or measure the voltage between the black and brown wires. Should get 5V or 12V with ignition on.
that just leaves 1 wire unknown contion

Thanks Pete K. I have a basis understanding of electronics. However, a couple of questions:
1. What's the best way to read the live readings from each of the sensors, and
2. What does the "m" stand for. 2008 D3 HSE Stornoway Grey with Ebony Leather, towing a Coachman VIP 575

I think you had better take the bumper off.
Buzz out the wiring.
Check for shorts
and inspect loom for rubs / shorts / etc
