Sadly our "smaller" car is a Defender 90. Neither car fits in the car park at Waitrose in Dorchester as they have a 1.8m height restriction so we have to hoof it across two roads with the shopping but it'll be a cold day in hell before we do the weekly shop in Tesco. We get meat from local farms anyway, so that helps I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Well I suppose we could argue that the D3 is a hybrid. After all, it runs on waste dinosaurs and plant matter I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

As usual they are all trying to be the most self righteous so that their customers can feel the same. Look at me I'm saving the planet Like b cks they are. Just another ploy using the inane stupidity of its customers to keep it at the top of the market.
And those of us that don't want to be patronised or be self righteous will take our business elsewhere.

Unnecessary quote removed
I'm glad someone else thinks like me ! It's the cynical irony that gets me - they provide bigger spaces to attract larger cars full of big resource hungry families to sell more goods flown in from god knows where, then they turn it 'green' to attract small electric cars with single or couple only cost conscious families who are busy 'saving the planet', which in turn will attract the families because it's a 'good thing'. Do Tesco customers not realise that manufacturing and disposing of electric vehicles is more detrimental to the environment than fossil powered vehicles? Never mind the fossil fuels burnt to supply electricity to recharge the things, then there is the fuel burnt getting the goods from planet zog to the shelves.
But of course the average tesco customer doesn't give a about the planet just the price of food. All the tree huggers have moved onto Waitrose (better parking and shopping experience there also).

Dont moan too much about Tesco's on here, they might not do Disco 3 warranties next year, that would be bad news! Women are like swimming pools, very expensive for the amount of time you spend in them!

Ocado is the way to go, they even have green delivery slots. You also get a free Times newspaper with each delivery.

If the Ocado delivery driver parks incorrectly when delivering your goods, are you able to fine him ?
Giving away a free Times newspaper isn't very rainforest friendly is it !!! So, both Tesco and Waitrose contradict their own 'green' policies - but it sounds like a good deal ! (I know this is getting OT)
