"Parking Brake Fault" warning, no fault.

My wife's D4 regularly shows "Parking Brake Fault", although not every trip. The first time it showed, the EPB was stuck on and I released it via the emergency release. Since then, the fault shows but the EPB functions perfectly.

Our local indie (who really knows his onions) checked over the set up and it is mechanically fine, no muck in the actuator, all re-calibrated, etc., suggesting a possible electrical problem (?). The connector in the offside-rear wheel-arch has had a good blast of contact-cleaner but the gremlin is still alive and kicking.

Any suggestions appreciated!

TIA,
Hugh
