New D4 arrived today, Australian 2.7 standard spec. There appears to be no way to turn off the parking sensors (rear fitted only) since there is no button on the dash. We carry bikes on back so does anyone know how these are supposed to be deactivated?
thanks.

You are correct - they cannot be deactivated. Having said that, they should only operate when reverse gear is selected
There are ways of mounting bikes so they remain clear of the sensors, not sure how this is done but have heard about this. 2016 Discovery 4 Commercial

If you plug a tow board lights in, then it should deactivate the sensors. Bodsys Brake Bible

Thanks for the quick replies. So I know there is a button in the d3, does the d4 with front and rear pdc have a bottom to deactivate?

When the parking aid switch is lit (front or rear sensors), pressing it disables the system completely

I have front and rear sensors, on a 2011 model and the button (next to the hazard light button) turns off both the front and read sensors if they have come on automatically (reverse selected) the button also turns them on manually, if say I need the front ones pulling into the garage at home

Apologies for resurrecting an old thread. My sensors have been annoying me a lot lately and I have decided to rectify the situation by fitting the front sensors and switch. Has this been done before and does anyone know if the loom for the switch is preinstalled?
