Paint repair

Have found a small patch of scuffing/scratching on the rear lower tailgate.. suspect it may have been something put on the bumper before lowering the tailgate!
It's not through the paint, but has left a roughness & grey colour - by the looks of it that panel is plastic not metal?
Too minor for bodyshop as hardly noticed when dirty, but any thoughts on an effective repair?
