Paddle shift in S or D+S Settings
Hi
Does anyone know how to set the paddle shift to work only in S mode? The Manual (P111, 112.) says it can be changed in Instrument Panel Menu but my MY 16 does not seem to have that option either with Engine running or off.
Any ideas?

..... off I go to check the manual to see if its possible in my MY12 - had it 6 weeks, and accidentally clipping the paddle while going round a roundabout is getting on my goat....MY2012 D4 HSE Nara Bronze with some extra stuff

not sure if you know but if you clip the paddle and accidently engage the mode, you can pull and hold the right hand paddle for 2 second to cancel and return to auto mode.

This feature is present on my Jaguar F Type. It is configurable in the Vehicle Settings menu on the dashboard. It has the same 8 speed ZF box as my D4, which does not have the feature. It must be a vehicle software issue. Maybe the guys at GAP can do something?
I agree, it would be nice, as I too catch the right hand paddle from time to time and it takes a few seconds to sort it out.

Thanks for the info, I'll let the wife knows as she's getting mad about the paddles.
Getting used to the manual being misleading and almost pointless to read. Have to add that to my list for another thread

Must admit when I first had this D4 I thought that there was a gearbox problem as sometimes on pulling away it would hold first gear.
Turned out that my hand had just caught the paddle shift when gripping the steering wheel.2015 D4 HSE in Corris Grey

Ah! That's dead handy to know. I have resorted to twiddling the gear selector to S than back to D to cancel command shift. It's just about the only thing which irritates me about the car so far.D1 300Tdi - gone
