I am reading with interest. I don't believe it is a body off job on the other side either. Just a lot of swearing.

Sorry to resurrect an old one - but 2 weeks into RRS ownership and I've got the same error (Now thinking should have got a Disco 3 Sad ).

The extra bit of info is that using the AUTEL scanner (D1 Lite) looking at live data it flatlines on the throttle position - so hopefully throttle sensor but any advice gratefully receieved.

Thanks

Trev

I’m getting the P0488 code but indicating actuator is stuck closed. Clears on a restart but needs something repaired. Comes with a few other codes too. Reluctant to throw a £350 throttle body at it if it’s not it at fault. Any testing ideas?

Try cleaning inside the throttle body housing from the front of the engine.
The throttle disc maybe your problem..or at least have a look in once the front housing is off.
5min job to have a look.

Opened up the front of the throttle body and flap appeared free to move. No build up of anything though I did clean it all out less than a year ago when it was out to change the water housing underneath. LR specialist i use can’t look at it for ages and said it’s either throttle body or egr. Any ideas on testing to try and identify?

Also, if I do fit a new throttle body, can an air path learn be done via the IID? According to posts above, if this isn’t done then replacing the throttle body on its own won’t solve the problem.

Did some iid logging this morning. Screenshot below. EGR position was always a bit higher than the commanded figure but this remained consistent across both valves. Throttle position always remained at 0%. Is the iiD just not picking up this value or is the car not generating it correctly? Car feels down on power at the minute although no faults thrown in today’s driving.
