so replaced the copper washer, admittedly with used one from my off the road D3, and blanked the egrs until i can get in somewhere for a remap. not as bad but still chuggy, and the blanking has made it at least driveable. What other issues could it be? I did have written some live feeds from cylinder balance but lost the paper but when i took it for a drive for the firat five mins cyl1 was 1.4k, cyl6 600 and the others around 800. there is no blue or white smoke

TIA

Andy

Update - ran engine with inj1 cyl1 disconnected, made no difference to starting and running so I think i may be in the correct area. It just so happens i still have my old d3 (Manual TDV6) that I have robbed an injector from (as well as a few other bits and bobs). I have replaced the injector and still have the same issue. Have given up for the day but will check continuity of wiring back to ECU and also swap the injectors between cyl1 and 2 tomorrow to see if the fault moves with this.

For the record I am not getting any misfire or unusual white/blue smoke from the exhaust so hopeful its not a stuck valve. Also coolant levels are constant and no oil contamination, and no coolant in the oil.

Any further suggestions most welcome before I start on it again in the am

Cheers

Andy

I’ve got the exact same issue. So far I’ve replaced injector 1 with new, I’ve swapped them all around, I’ve replaced all the copper washers etc, one thing I’ve noticed is as soon as the car warms up it doesn’t do it. Just when the engine is cold. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s not the injectors at all but something else. I’m thinking of going through the engine loom first.

Well the turbo went whoosh this week. Lots of smoke and all oil gone. Hopefully saved engine, so the injector issue seems quite minor now
