P00BD-07 (27) - Help with MAF expected values please
Hi All,
I have a 2012 3.0 SDV6 D4 and it started to get a little jerky when driving the other morning then up popped the restricted performance message. It now struggles to idle and very nearly cuts out.
The only error I have is:-
P00BD-07 (27) Mass or volume air flow A circuit range/performance - Air flow too high
I checked both of the MAF sensors and a previous owner replaced the one linked to the error with one branded VOLT which I’ve never heard of before which made me a little suspicious. I pulled off some live values and the reading for bank 1 (MAF A) was showing a value of 1 but when revved the value just dropped lower to 0.6 and then remained there but then came to life a little when revved again.

I then swapped them around to see if it made any difference but bank 1 still looks like it has low values although it was providing a value each time with them swapped around.

Are these values I’m getting expected and the sensors are both actually ok?
I’ve pushed some smoke through the MAP sensor port while actuating the secondary turbo bypass valve and I haven’t identified any leaks from the inlet manifolds and the bypass valve seems to open ok and closes immediately when I remove the vacuum.
It had the body off recently to replace the crossover pipe but has covered 800 miles since then without issue but thought I’d mention in case it’s relevant.
Does anyone have any views as to whether it’s a faulty MAF or poss issue with wiring or other areas that would be good to check please?

CSOV sticking or vacuum hoses split/leaking. MAF dtc is a likely symptom not the cause.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Took the CSOV off today to give it a clean and all working fine, I’ve checked the vacuum lines as well and all seem to be ok.
I have a replacement maf coming in case it actually is that and I’ll smoke test it again tomorrow while waiting for the maf to arrive but I’m yet to find any leaks
