Hi, I've been following this with interest as I want to do the same thing. But looking at my expo roof rack, can the rivets be drilled out with the rack on the car, or does the rack have to be removed?

Thanks
John

If anybody who removed the rear cross-bar could answer this one I also would be interested to know. It would be much faster and easier indeed. Thanks Thumbs Up

I have removed the rear cross bar. I unbolted the rack form the roof and lifted the rear so I could get a drill in. I just drilled the rivets out and it came out. Dead easy job to do.

Cheers
